Tanishq Saria logo Résumé

hey, I'm Tanishq.

I'm _

I turn complex algorithms into clean, people-first, impact-driven products, chasing whatever's next in tech.

At the crossroads of Quantum Computing, Software Development and Artificial Intelligence, I find my passion and purpose. Join me as I navigate the tech frontier and innovate for tomorrow.

01 / About

Great software, like great images, is a perfect balance between light, space & story.

I'm a Chancellor's Award Scholar at UMass Amherst who tries to turn complex algorithms into clean, people-first, impact-driven products with Python, TypeScript/React, C and Swift.

I've shipped customer-facing features as an intern at SolarWinds, built five AI apps in five weeks at Headstarter, mentored 30+ peers as an Undergraduate TA, and maintain GitProfAlyzer, an open-source dashboard that turns raw GitHub activity into insights across 400+ repos, all while chasing the next innovation where technology can move the needle for people and planet.

Off the keyboard, photography keeps my eye sharp. Great software, like great images, is a perfect balance between light, space, and story.

I download developer betas on day one, not just to see the future, but to start building on it. I'm obsessed with frictionless experiences and making impact at scale.

MAKE LOST TEMPORARY · 2026

A campus lost-and-found that actually works. You describe what you lost in normal words, and it quietly finds the person who picked it up — privately, on a live map. No more scrolling disappearing Snapchat stories. Live now, starting at UMass Amherst.

DOPPEL.

THE DOPPELGÄNGER FINDER · 2026

Type in a product you love and DOPPEL finds you another one that's just as good. You pick what you want — the cheaper version, something with the same vibe, or a fancier upgrade — and it digs through Reddit, YouTube, and ingredient databases to find the match. It scores each option, shows real prices and sizes, and links you straight to where to buy.

TALK YOUR DAY OUT · 2026

yapload replaces four apps — journal, to-dos, reminders, notes — with one act: talking. You ramble about your day like you're venting to a friend, and an AI sorts every sentence into the right place, then auto-schedules your tasks and syncs them to your real calendar.

Real-time dining, solved with NFC.

Founded a full-stack dining platform serving 5,000+ students with real-time reservations, NFC seat check-in, and live maps. Born from a real frustration: 29 minutes to find a seat in a 30-minute lunch break. Cut table-search time by 50%. Now prototyping native SwiftUI apps.

MAKE LOST TEMPORARY

Co-founder · Full-stack, NLP & matching engine · 2026

Losing your AirPods, ID, or keys on campus usually means scrolling 24-hour stories and hoping. foundthelost replaces that with one simple map. You type what you lost the way you'd text a friend, and the app instantly understands the item, color, brand, and where and when you lost it. Behind the scenes it compares your report against everything other students have found, and only ever shows you a genuine match — never a public list of everyone's stuff, so nobody can grab things that aren't theirs. When there's a match, you message the finder in the app and arrange the handoff. It's free for students and paid for by the university.

  • Type it like a text — the app reads your words and pulls out the item, color, brand, place, and time as you write
  • Only shows you real matches, never a public board — so no one can claim things that aren't theirs
  • A live 3D campus map that zooms in from a spinning globe and draws the path from where you lost it to where it turned up
  • Asks smart follow-ups ('which dining hall?', 'what color?') to make every match more accurate
  • Learns the slang students actually use, and runs entirely free — no paid AI behind it
  • Built as a real business: free for students, about $0.20 per student a year for the school

DOPPEL.

THE DOPPELGÄNGER FINDER

Solo · Full-stack + AI · 2026

People spend hours hunting for 'the $30 version of this $300 perfume.' DOPPEL does that hunt in about 30 seconds. It reads the same places a real person would — Reddit threads, YouTube review transcripts, fragrance note databases, ingredient lists — and turns all of it into a clear, ranked answer. The fun engineering part: it runs entirely on free services, so I had to build it to be tough — if one AI provider runs out, it instantly switches to another; if a website blocks it, it reroutes; and once a product is researched, the answer is saved so the next person gets it instantly. For perfumes it even knows that the EDT and EDP versions smell different and treats them separately.

  • Runs on a $0 budget — no paid APIs anywhere in the stack
  • Falls back across 7 free AI providers — stayed online when 3 went down at once
  • Caches every answer: a repeat search drops from 30 seconds to under 1
  • Reads 7 kinds of sources, each with its own workaround for sites that block bots
  • Knows perfume concentrations (EDT vs EDP) are different scents
  • Every result makes a shareable image card, built right in the browser

yapload

TALK YOUR DAY OUT

Solo · Full-stack + AI · 2026

yapload is a voice-first AI life organizer. You speak (or type, or upload audio) a free-form brain-dump, and a Whisper → Llama pipeline files each piece into journal, tasks, events, and notes — it knows the difference between something you already did (journal) and a plan (calendar), and it gets your dates right by using your device's own clock. It doesn't just store things, it acts: it reads your real calendar and drops flexible tasks into open 15-minute gaps, and it syncs both ways with Google Calendar and Google Tasks. Your days become a 3D photo gallery you can swipe through in a full-screen theatre next to that day's journal, and a small productivity suite — drag-and-drop planning, a streak heatmap, habits, a focus timer, and built-in focus sounds — helps you actually do what you offloaded. Built solo, end to end.

  • Turns rambly speech into clean journal entries, tasks, events, and notes — automatically
  • Knows past from future: things you did get journaled, plans go on your calendar — and 'tomorrow' always means your tomorrow
  • Finds you the time: 'fit in a workout tomorrow' lands in a real free slot around your calendar
  • Two-way Google sync — events to Calendar, todos to Tasks, your real events pulled back in without duplicates
  • Private by design: every user's data is isolated in the database; photos and audio handled per-account
  • A 3D photo-memory gallery with a full-screen, swipeable day theatre
